A home is one’s personal haven which provides security and stability to the family it protects. A basic form of shelter is not what a man desires, but a dire necessity in life. But for some people, achieving even the simplest form of a house proves to be a tedious task. The world is not always a kind place; there are some homes which often lack the necessary surety and even the basic amenities owing to the family being burdened by social and financial difficulties, leaving its inhabitants reliant on a dilapidated cocoon of a house powerless against Mother Nature’s wrath. To add salt to the wounds, the world turns a blind eye to their suffering when they are the ones worthy of the attention and the necessary aid. The talent extravaganza of the LEOs of Sri Lanka that is Elation 2021 held its final excursion, namely a talent competition, on the 4th  of April 2021 from 2:00pm onwards at the Western Province Aesthetic Resort, Colombo 07. Featuring a vast variety of talented LEOs from multiple LEO districts adept in a vast variety of expertise, the event can simply be put as a colorful citadel painted in an almost hypnotic sense of enthrallment.   Womanhood is not an easy battle; from undergoing a plethora of opinions and restrictions since a girl draws her first breath, a woman’s life is instantaneously categorized into a specific rubric on how she should live her life. Despite many modern-day women prioritizing themselves and pursuing their careers, many are held back by the demanding patriarchy and even by their own families to follow the “traditional” roles and mannerisms of a women – becoming a docile homemaker. The workforce itself can become a battle, for a gender-based wage gap and the  subjection to various forms of gender inequality still prevail. Project LEO IEEE Sinhalen DOCS – the collaborative project organized by the LEO Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus and the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC spanned for a fruitful and innovative seven months inspiring and educating the Sri Lankan youth in bringing out the confident entrepreneur skilled in the media Microsoft Office Suite within themselves.  “All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them” "සිනහවකට අත්වැලක්" is organised by the Leo club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus was held on the 23rd of February 2021. The objective of this project was to lend hands to children  at Sri Sudarshi Special School for deaf and blind students, Bandarawela to fulfill their needs. The project committee came up with an idea of hosting a medical camp for the kids which includes dental and eye check ups.  In order to raise funds for the event a raffle draw was arranged along with an entrance ticket price of Rs.50/-.  Many helped in being healing souls to these children in order to regain their life back by spreading their wings to fly over with happiness and freedom.

Vision – an important human aspect many of us often take for granted and only falls under special consideration when it is far too late. Being a mother is one of the most blessed and the most challenging job in the world. Giving birth to a new life and making it walk through the new world holding its hands showing a good trail makes a mother victorious in her life. Most of the risks for pregnant women in developing countries are related to poverty, poor nutrition, a high burden of infectious diseases, limited access to care, and the lack of understanding about when to seek care.  Understanding this precious but hard cycle of motherhood Lions of Polgasowita ,Leos of Polgasowita and Leos of Sri Lanka Technological Campus joined hands together and introduced "ගැබිණි මව් උපහාර" to be a pillar to pregnant mothers in Sri Lanka.  The event was held on the 30th of January 2021 at Ambalangoda Sri Sudharmarama Viharaya, Polgasowita with a presence of more than 100 pregnant mothers. National Leo Day Program.. There are lots of ways you can do your bit to help lonely or socially isolated elderly people in your community. The person you're helping will reap health benefits, and you'll find you will as well. With regard to the national leo day, leos of SLTC extended a visit to the Sahana Udaya Elders retreat home on January 21st. Leos of SLTC hosted a dinner for the elderly people there. The event was enjoyed by everyone including the elders. After the dinner they were gifted with sanitary products such as tooth brushes, razors and sanitizers. Dry rations was also distributed as a part of the project. They appreciated the effort taken by the leos of SLTC while praising them for this excellent evening.

Drugs: a man’s getaway ticket to temporary pleasure which bear permanent consequences. Be it alcohol or recreational drugs, the almost imminent addiction to such substances is a bottomless pit which eat away at a person’s body, mind and spirit. As a means of educating people on the ins and outs of drugs and as means of lending a helping hand to those struggling to break out of the vicious cage that drugs encase them in, the LEO Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus conducted the project “Drug Free Future”.  A two-part based project, its phases are consisted of firstly, an educational webinar which was overseen by the guest speakers Mrs. Kumudini Jayathilake, , the Drug and Information officer of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board and Mr.Anushka Dissanayake , manager of the Mithuru Mithuro rehabilitations  movement, which was held on the 24 th  of November 2020 from 1.30pm – 3.30pm via the online platform Zoom; the said session was held on a highly successful note...

Beautiful memories captured from the Official Christmas Mass of Leo Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus was held 22/12/2020 at St. Anthony's Church, Kirimatiyagara, Kadawatha along with the project What Christmas Means to Me. The mass was streamed through the Official Facebook page of Leo Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus.

  As the days drawl on and the COVID-19 pandemic slowly begins to lose its hostility, we find ourselves slowing breaking out of the monotony of spending our days being cooped up in our homes and returning back to normalcy. But as we return to our normal routines, an issue which many of us come across is the added lethargy and the subsequent lack of exercise in a person. SLTC Leos marked the most entertained night of 2020 in Leoism ! The open mic night was another glorious occasion organized by the Leos of Sri Lanka Technological Campus as a fundraiser event. It was held on the 26th of September 2020 at Leo Nisal Samarasinghe's residence , Boralesgamuwa. On this particular night SLTC Leos gave the opportunity to share our leo's passion with the world. The event was enlightened with the voices of many more famous artists in the industry such as Nadeeka Guruge and Ravi Royster. In order to celebrate World Friendship Day 2020, Leo Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus joined hands with the Leo Club of University of Sri Jayawardanepura to organize an online campaign on 30th of July 2020. This was an online campaign due to the pandemic that was prevailing at the time. In order to inform our fellow leos we shared a friendship day post through the Facebook and Instagram and sent emails for the Leo clubs as this was an online event.  As the initiative step, on 30th of July 2020 at 8 a.m., the project chairmen of Leo club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus and Leo club of University of Sri Jaywardhanapura shared a friendship day post on Facebook and Instagram.
