ගැබිණි මව් උපහාර 2021...

Being a mother is one of the most blessed and the most challenging job in the world. Giving birth to a new life and making it walk through the new world holding its hands showing a good trail makes a mother victorious in her life. Most of the risks for pregnant women in developing countries are related to poverty, poor nutrition, a high burden of infectious diseases, limited access to care, and the lack of understanding about when to seek care.  Understanding this precious but hard cycle of motherhood Lions of Polgasowita ,Leos of Polgasowita and Leos of Sri Lanka Technological Campus joined hands together and introduced "ගැබිණි මව් උපහාර" to be a pillar to pregnant mothers in Sri Lanka. 

The event was held on the 30th of January 2021 at Ambalangoda Sri Sudharmarama Viharaya, Polgasowita with a presence of more than 100 pregnant mothers. Each mother was presented with a pack which included food items and baby care items. Pregnant mothers around Ambalangoda, Kesbewa, Kahathuduwa West, Kahathuduwa North, Siyabalangoda, Palagama, Weniwalkola, Kahathuduwa South and Wethhara were benefited from this project.
