To save life below water... Project " BLUE PLANET" organized by SLTC Leos was successfully completed on 23rd August 2019 at Egodahena beach, Moratuwa. This was the first environmental project of the new leoistic year 2019/2020 of SLTC Leo's. The biggest source of pollution in the ocean is directly from human activities. 80% of the pollution happens from the land. Every day thousands of trash and waste are dumped into the ocean. 90% of floating materials are plastic and polythene. These plastics are harmful to the animals who live in the ocean because they do not decompose and it’s one of the biggest environmental threats. Polythene and plastics are considered as food by marine animals.
