Thuru Viyan
Project ‘Thuru Viyan’ that organized by Leo Club of Sri
Lanka Technological Campus was successfully completed on 31st August
in Kurulu Kale sanctuary, Kegalle. The intention of this project was to discover
the natural beauty of the sanctuary and to clean garbage in order to protect
lands which provide habitat to many native wildlife, birds, fish and plants and
has rare diversity of plants.
However at the end of the day Leos could collect huge amount
of Plastic, Polythene bags, Broken bottle pieces and many other garbage in Kurulu
Kale and we decided to recycle that garbage in a proper way. The main reason
for this kind of environmental problems is, people do not think to protect
environment though environment protect human. And also Leos think to make an Impact
on people to think about above manner from these kind of projects, because
people have a responsibility to protect the environment.
