Drug Free Future...
Drugs: a man’s getaway ticket to temporary pleasure which bear permanent consequences. Be it alcohol or recreational drugs, the almost imminent addiction to such substances is a bottomless pit which eat away at a person’s body, mind and spirit. As a means of educating people on the ins and outs of drugs and as means of lending a helping hand to those struggling to break out of the vicious cage that drugs encase them in, the LEO Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus conducted the project “Drug Free Future”. A two-part based project, its phases are consisted of firstly, an educational webinar which was overseen by the guest speakers Mrs. Kumudini Jayathilake, , the Drug and Information officer of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board and Mr.Anushka Dissanayake , manager of the Mithuru Mithuro rehabilitations movement, which was held on the 24 th of November 2020 from 1.30pm – 3.30pm via the online platform Zoom; the said session was held on a highly successful note...
